Role Overview

Apply advanced statistics expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through accurate, well-reasoned technical input. This remote contract role focuses on producing high-quality responses, evaluations, and benchmark materials that improve how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce authoritative, accurate, and clearly explained responses to advanced statistics questions, prioritizing clarity and depth.
• Review statistics data, queries, and solutions for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current best practices.
• Develop explanations and justifications covering foundational and specialized statistical concepts for varied technical audiences.
• Create benchmark responses for future AI outputs and document the context and reasoning behind answers to support interpretability and future annotation.
• Collaborate with annotation leads and project managers to refine requirements and uphold quality standards.
• Participate in remote discussions or workshops to clarify objectives and remain aligned with the contributor community.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or a closely related field, with demonstrated expertise in core and advanced statistical topics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex statistical concepts precisely.
• Experience creating, reviewing, or publishing scientific, technical, or educational statistics materials, such as research articles, curricula, industry reports, or peer reviews.
• Knowledge across areas such as probability theory, statistical inference, Bayesian methods, biostatistics, experimental design, or computational statistics.
• Experience with MySQL and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical attention to detail, methodological rigor, and ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional settings.
• Experience in AI, data annotation, or digital content development is helpful but not required.

Work Terms

• Remote contractor engagement.
• Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time may vary based on experience and workflow.
• Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks each week.
• Roles are typically filled within 48 hours. Selected candidates should be ready to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.

Compensation

$90 to $120 per hour.
